57 years and still keeping score: Ray Wilde earns Mid-Atlantic Hall of Fame honor

LEWISTOWN -- By Ray Wilde’s count, he has been to about 3,129 Mifflin County Babe Ruth games since 1970. Of 1,126 possible All-Star games, Wilde has attended 964, or 85.6%. Add roughly 2,165 regular-season games, and the arithmetic begins to explain a life spent around scorebooks, press boxes, tournament brackets and generations of boys who eventually became fathers, bringing their own sons to the ballpark.
