LEWISTOWN — East Pennsboro spoiled Mifflin County’s senior night on Wednesday, 3-0.

Mifflin County assistant coach Todd R. Peters said, “It was nice to honor our ten seniors for their time and commitment to our program prior to the match. They are Mason Allen, Jace Bagrosky, Brayden Benfer, Kayden Hook, Zach Keller, RJ Miller, Chase Retherford, Dylan Rhodes, Jack Suydam, Brody Wolfkill.

“We put ourselves in an early hole of 2-0 that didn't make it easy. Resli scored on a slipped through ball and Skaugen on a header from a corner kick put them ahead by two only 5:10 into the match. We then settled in a bit and tried to connect some passes for our attack. However, we gave up a goal to Striddard with 7:45 left in the first half. Our second half produced more opportunities because we took some more chances. We'd like to see those chances happening earlier in our matches so we can potentially be on the front foot. We had some nice corners being played in by Brayden Benfer and Kolt Dixon but we couldn't finish any.”

The Panthers outshot MC, 13-3.

However, the Huskies tallied more saves, 10-3, and more corners, 7-6.

East’s JV team also won, 2-0.
