MIFFLIN COUNTY (1-4) at WAYNESBORO (0-5)

LAST MEETING: Mifflin County 17, Waynesboro 6 (2025)

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES: In a 17-7 loss to Hershey, Noah Wolfkiel was 8 of 15 passing for 101 yards and 2 INTs. Dominique Siennick had 1 catch for 42 yards, while Jaxon Strohecker added 3 for 35 yards. On the ground, Zyhair Hill led the way with 58 yards and 1 TD. Defensively, Brayan Aurand, Jake Knable and Cayden Breon each had a team-high 7 tackles. Nate Lindley had 2 tackles for loss, while Dodger Weaver added 1 sack. Breon also recovered a pair of fumbles.

SCOUTING THE INDIANS: Waynesboro got skunked 26-0 last week by Palmyra. Defensively, the Indians watched Palmyra roll up 281 rushing yards on 36 carries. A Csongradi had 128 yards and R Russek scored 2 TDs. Russek also threw for 114 yards and 2 TDs.

JUNIATA (0-5) at HALIFAX (1-4)

LAST MEETING: Halifax 32, Juniata 7 (2025)

SCOUTING THE INDIANS: Juniata is coming off a 41-7 loss to Steelton-Highspire. The Indians were shut out in their first two outings and mustered 7 points in 2 of the 3 games after that. Jason Condo was 2 for 9 for 12 yards and 1 INT last week. Colton Hutchinson was Juniata's leading rusher with 40 yards and Jaxon Dowling ran for the Indians' only TD. Quentin Houtz had both of Condo's completions. Defensively, Zakary Blessing amassed 7 tackles, while Houtz added six, including 1 tackle for loss. Hutchinson had 1 TFL. Blessing and Jeffrey Fisher also turned in fumble recoveries and Brian Kuhn had a pick.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: Halifax dropped a 14-13 squeaker to Upper Dauphin a week ago, trailing 14-0 until the Wildcats saw their rally fall short. Joseph Witmer completed 5 of 21 passes for 136 yards and 1 TD. Three completions went to Brayden Midile for 78 yards and 1 TD. Da'Mire Brooks ran the ball for 29 yards as Halifax's leading rusher. Defensively, Keaton Rummel had 18 tackles, with 2 tackles for loss, and Witmer added 12.

GLENDALE (2-3) at MOUNT UNION (5-0)

LAST MEETING: Glendale 34, Mount Union 27 (2025)

SCOUTING THE VIKINGS: Glendale trailed Moshannon Valley 7-6 at the half last week but could only muster a fourth-quarter TD in a 27-12 defeat at home. Michael Venslosky went 16 of 29 for 219 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Rhylan Hoopsick-Bell caught 3 balls for 82 yards and Levi Hamilton added 5 more for 66 yards. Tanner Ammerman carried 18 times for 31 yards but the Vikings finished with 27 rushes for 36 yards overall. Defensively, Mason Brink ended up with 16 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss. Hamilton and Danny Seilhamer each had sacks.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Mount Union steamrolled West Branch 63-19 as the Trojans kept it on the ground all night. Nasir Collins only carried 12 times but finished with 238 yards and 5 TDs. The Trojans went deep into their bench as 7 runners took handoffs. Collins also completed the only pass, 91 yards to Damien Leonard for a TD. Defensively, Maddox Hobbs had 12 tackles, including 3 tackles for loss, and Levi Hunsinger added 11 with 2 TFLs. Hobbs and Rahmeir Smith each had 2 sacks, while Hunsinger and Brayden Richards added 1 each. Collins also had a fumble recovery.

MIDD-WEST (1-4) at HUGHESVILLE (1-4)

LAST MEETING: Hughesville 18, Midd-West 7 (2025)

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS: Midd-West fell to Bloomsburg 35-22 a week ago as Witten Carter threw for 87 yards on 5 of 18 passing. Four Mustang rushers combined for 91 yards and Mason Fultz led the wideouts with 3 catches for 41 yards. Defensively, Jiovaunni Drumheller had 8 tackles, while Maverick Smith and Barry Penepacker each recorded sacks. Smith, Penepacker, Ammon Yakamook and Graydon Van Horn each had tackles for loss.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS: After opening the season with 4 losses, Hughesville blanked Northwest Area 21-0 last week. The Spartans were shut out in 3 of the 4 losses and, offensively, they scored 17 points. Nicholas Stubbs went 4 of 7 for 45 yards and 1 TD. Connor Anstadt was the only receiver with more than one catch (2 for 36 and 1 TD). Chase Shrawder rushed for 51 yards and 1 TD. Stubbs also ran for 39 yards and 1 TD.
