LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County golf competed Wednesday in their final match of the season at Lewistown Country Club against Bellefonte. This match was in a different format than most matches. This was match play where 12 points are up for grabs.
In the end Bellefonte won the match 9-3. Earning points for Mifflin County were Chase Krepps, winning his match 1up. Jude Zook winning his match 3 and 2, and Thad Gerwick who won his match 3 and 1.
With the loss MC finished the season with a record of 12-36. Evan Breon and Emma Norman are both still alive in the postseason, but the season came to a close for the rest of the team on Wednesday.
GIRLS TENNIS
Huskies best Patriots
Mifflin County tennis defeated Red Land on Wednesday, 4-1.
In singles action, Maddy Clinard beat Allison Walker, 6-3, 6-2. Delaynie Newlen topped Lillian Robbins, 6-0, 6-0. Marcella McKee beat Piper Shelley, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, Hana Patel and Khloe Knepp beat Alice Almoney and Sidney Henry, 6-2, 4-6, 6-6* (TB 7-3).
Brooke Johnson and Olivia Howell defeated Huskies Layla Breneman and Brynlee Miller, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.

BOYS SOCCER
Norry hands JCS its first loss
NORRY — Norry Christian beat Juniata Christian in a Tuesday night boys soccer showdown, 5-1.
JCS, now 10-1 (7-1 ACAA), got a goal from Jordan Lara as Julian Flores de Valgaz had the assist.
Norry had goals from Chase Conner, Liam Zwatty (three) and Zion Hostetter.
JCS outshot Norry, 13-12. The Lions tallied more corners, 5-3.
Connor Leitzel tallied five saves for JCS. Norry had six saves.
JCS’s overall record is 10-1 and their next game is Saturday at home versus Johnstown.
GIRLS SOCCER
Lions edge Norry, 3-2
NORRY — Juniata Christian girls soccer topped Norry Christian, 3-2, on Tuesday.
Norry had an early 1-0 lead as Riley Conner scored a goal.
JCS would get a goal from Aurora Weller with an assist by Nicole Lara. Josie Sieber chimed in with a score.
Norry would knot the game up at two as Kira Conner corralled a score.
In the second half, JCS’s Rachel Hoover broke the tie and posted the eventual game-winning goal.
Norry outshot JCS, 9-8. JCS had more corners, 4-3.
Emma Martin had seven JCS saves. Norry tallied four.
JCS’s overall record is 6-4-1 (4-4 ACAA) and the Lions face Johnstown on Saturday.
VOLLEYBALL
Huskies sweep Milton Hershey
HERSHEY — Mifflin County traveled to Milton Hershey on Tuesday night and got a victory in three sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.
Lily Curry led the offense with 15 assists while Kate Hartzler and Grayce Napikoski each added eight kills. Ella Hartzler added four kills and Brooke Wray and Leah Hartzler each added three kills. Rylie Kahley led the defensive efforts with 15 digs while Napikoski added 14, Curry and Kate Hartzler each added seven.
JV Huskies also won in straight sets (25-19 and 25-15). Ayden Long led the Huskies offensively with five kills and five aces. Jovi Bush contributed four kills, with Mackenzie Resto, Kendal Martin, and Ashland Mazur each adding two kills. Sarah Hartsock had 12 assists and a team-high five digs.
The Huskies (3-4) are home today when they battle Lower Dauphin.
