Goalie Jack Suydam had 14 saves for the Huskies as Hershey mustered three.
Mifflin County assistant coach Todd R. Peters said, “Their first goal came in under the first five minutes when they took a short corner and we didn't push out and Bolton was in the right spot. That was frustrating that we didn't get out of our own box. Their second one happened on a ball knocked in behind that Peterson ran onto with 12:22 left in the half.”
The Huskies assistant added, “We talked at halftime about trying to limit those middle of the field touches, being ready for contact and to be options for each other. But, in under two minutes into the start of the second half, they came out and Peters hit a screamer for their third goal. That was a nice strike. Peterson got another for them to go up 4-0 with 19:41 left. We got a nicely struck direct kick goal by Jace Bagrosky with 18:05 left and then almost snuck a rebound off a pinging ball on a corner to make it more interesting. It just came down to a lack of completing passes to create or be dangerous. Hershey, stepped in, played physical and made us pay for those poor passes. Jack came out and made some big time saves for us but we just couldn't get it going.”
The JV score was Hershey 6 and MC 2.
