The Hershey Bears have announced the initial roster for the club's 2026 Training Camp, set to begin today at Hersheypark Arena at 11 a.m.
The following players are part of Hershey's initial 2026 Training Camp roster:

Hershey's initial 2026 Training Camp roster features seven players who skated with the Bears for at least one game during the 2025-26 season, including 2024 Calder Cup hero Matt Strome, who returns for his fifth season with the club.
The Bears have also announced that Joey Anderson has signed a professional tryout agreement (PTO) with Hershey after tallying 33 points (17g, 16a) in 52 games with the Rockford IceHogs last season. He has scored 199 points (105g, 94a) in 264 AHL games with Binghamton, Toronto, and Rockford and appeared in the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic. Anderson has also played 169 NHL games with New Jersey, Toronto, and Chicago, scoring 40 points (19g, 21a).
The 2026 Training Camp Roster will be updated at HersheyBears.com over the next week. Numerous additions are expected over the next week as Hershey's NHL parent club, the Washington Capitals, reduces its camp roster to a maximum of 23 players.
The schedule for the first week of Hershey's 2026 Training Camp is as follows:

Training Camp practices at Hersheypark Arena are free and open to the public. All Training Camp events are subject to change.
Hershey will open its preseason schedule on the road vs. Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:05 p.m. at PPL Center. The club hosts its lone preseason game at GIANT Center on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m.
The Bears will host the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at GIANT Center as they officially drop the puck on the 2026-27 regular season, presented by Penn State Health.For a very limited time, buy one ticket and get a FREE one for most October games!
