LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County girls tennis moved to 2-0 on the season as the Huskies beat Central Dauphin East on Wednesday, 5-0.
In singles play, Maddy Clinard topped Soniya Subba, 6-0, 6-0. Delaynie Newlen defeated Jenisha Subba, 6-0, 6-0, and Marcella McKee swept Sripriya Anarya, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, Huskies Hana Patel and Alexis Allen beat Lazza Mager and Genesis Prensa, 6-0, 6-0. Huskies Khloe Knepp and Layla Breneman defeated Srinha Tamang and Kaushi Poudyel, 6-1, 6-0.
Next, the Huskies visit Palmyra today at 4 p.m.

HARRISBURG — Emma Norman competed Wednesday at Sportsman’s Golf Course, the home of Central Dauphin. She shot a season-low score of 102, which was good enough to place in a tie for 15th out of 31 girls. Emma is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Hershey Country Club.

Mountain Lions halt Huskies
ALTOONA -- Mifflin County golf traveled to Park Hills on Tuesday to face Altoona. In the end, Altoona came out on top by a score of 326-370.
The Huskies were led by Evan Breon with a score of 83, which placed him fourth overall. Caleb Bubb shot a 94, Chase Krepps added a 96, and Jude Zook rounded out the scoring with a 97.
With the loss, the Huskies are 4-16 on the season.
On Thursday, the Huskies head to Valley Green, the home of Cedar Cliff.
