Branson, MO -- The Mifflin

County Babe Ruth 15-16-year-old

All-Stars showed off their arms in

more ways than one on Monday

against Arizona.

Mifflin County advanced in pool

play to 3-0 in the 2026 World

Series with a 5-1 win over Arizona.

Today, Mifflin County wraps up

pool play with a game against

Columbia, 0-3, (the country) at

noon.

On Monday, Mifflin County got

great pitching performances from

Haven Bridge and Colton Aumiller.

Bridge, who got the win, went the

first four innings. He didn't give up

a hit or a run, struck out five and

walked one.

Aumiller finished the game by

giving up a run, two hits. He didn't

walk anybody and struck out three.

The big defensive play of the

day came in the sixth inning when

Liam Shaffer caught a ball in right

field and fired a bullet to third base

for a double play.

It marked the 11th double play

for Mifflin County and the fifth one

in the World Series.

"Haven (Bridge) and Colton

(Aumiller) were brilliant today," said

Denny Yetter, the Mifflin County

manager.

"That throw by Liam

(Shaffer) was more than just

outstanding, it was great."

Mifflin County got off to a great

start. The local All-Stars scored

four runs in the first inning. In fact,

the first six batters reached base.

Kooper Walters led off by

getting hit by a pitch. Aumiller

followed with a base hit. Walters

scored when the Arizona center

fielder had a bad throw home.

Shaffer then hit a triple down the

right field line that scored Aumiller.

Luke Shawver then smashed a

double scoring Shaffer.

Jett Powell reached on an error

and Landon Pecht surprised

everybody with a bunt to load the

bases.

Max Trawitz then hit into a

double play that scored Cam

Kauffman, who was a courtesy

runner for Shawver.

Mifflin County added a run in

the fifth. Aumiller walked and

Noah Bunch was sent in to run for

the pitcher. Shaffer singled and

Shawver walked to load the bases.

Powell was then hit by a pitch to

knock home Bunch.

Arizona (Native Americans)

brought in Logan Bunch to calm

down the Mifflin County bats in the

first inning and he held Mifflin

County to two hits until he left in

the fifth inning.

NOTES - Arizona was coached

by two former major league

players, Brian McRae and DJ

Carraso... When Bridge struck out in the fourth inning, he

became the league's 32,000th

official at-bat... Walters made

an outstanding catch in center field

in the seventh inning....For Yetter it

was his 90th career win and was

his 22nd as an All-Star manager.

Yetter's All-Star record is 22-11

and his overall mark is 90-63.
