Here is more Babe Ruth trivia concerning the World Series and other matters. The Mifflin County 15-16-year-old All-Stars will be traveling to Branson, Missouri, starting August 7, 2026.

Denny Yetter is just the fourth Mifflin County manager to take a team to a World Series. Scott Reigle took two teams, 2002 and 2016 and Bill Corbin also took two teams in
2021 and 2022. The other two managers were Justin Yoder in 2018 and Fred Zook in 2004.

The assistant coaches for Mifflin County both played college baseball. Bo Trawitz played at Slippery Rock and Travis Zook played at Susquehanna.

Denny Yetter now has four finishes in the Mid-Atlantic Regional final four Yetter had a third-place finish in 2024 with the 15-16-year-olds; two second-place finishes, 2021, 13-year-olds and 14-year-olds, 2025 and now the championship year in 2026. Bill Ciorbin and Scott Reigle each had three. Fred Zook and Bernie Howard each had two. John Pannizzo, the assistant coach with the Mifflin County 14-year-olds. had a third-place finish with the 15-year-olds in 2023.

Broomall-Newtown won the 14-year-old Mid-Atlantic Regional title with a 1-0 win over the host team, Old Bridge, New Jersey. If a Pennsylvania team would win the 13-year-old title, it would make it a clean sweep for Pennsylvania. The only time that had ever happened was in 2002. Mifflin County won the 15-year-olds; State College won the 14-year-olds and Levittown won the 13-year-olds. Levittown then went on to win Pennsylvania’s first national title.
