OLD BRIDGE, NJ -- The Mifflin County Babe Ruth coaching staff of the 14-year-old All-Stars have to be pleased. The team went 1-3 at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals and finished in a tie for seventh. This year's team scored 23 runs. Last year Mifflin County as 13-year-olds were 0-4 and scored only five runs. They played at the same place, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
"We were very pleased with the effort our team put forth this year,” said Keith Baker, the Mifflin County manager. "It was very good competition and we won one game and competed in the other three games. I'm proud of the way our players battled in every game."
OLD BRIDGE 10, MIFFLIN COUNTY 9
OLD BRIDGE, NJ--Mifflin County led 9-1 after three innings, but couldn’t hold the lead as Old Bridge scored three runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings. Old Bridge won, 10-9. Last season, Old Bridge won, 10-2.
Mifflin County used four pitchers with Gage Geissinger getting the start. He pitched into the fifth inning before being relieved by Brayden Herbster. Levi Sharp and Luke Hale finished out the game.
Mifflin County finished with eight hits Levi Anderson and Brody Keefer each had two. Hits. Cohen Ritchey had a three run double in the third, Mifflin County scored four runs in the inning to take the eight run lead.
Geissinger, Herbster and Carter Palm also had singles for Mifflin County.
MIFFLIN COUNTY 9, SOUTHERN 6
OLD BRIDGE. NJ--Gage Geissinger came in relief in the third inning and finished the game and picked up the win.
Geissinger went four and two third innings. He struck out three, gave up one run, five hits and only two runs. Carter Palm was the starter.
Mifflin County had a big inning in the fourth as it scored five runs and took the lead, 8-5. Kolton Yeater had a two run triple and Cohen Ritchey followed with an RBI double.
Mifflin County finished with nine hits. Gabe Clark had two, while Levi Sharp, Levi Anderson, Luke Hale and Brody Keefer each had one.
BROOMALL-NEWTOWN 15, MIFFLIN COUNTY 5
OLD BRIDGE, NJ--Broomall-Newtown faced Mifflin County. The Mid-Atlantic regional champion beat Mifflin County, 15-5. The game was over after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Broomall scored in every inning and jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one inning. The winners added four runs in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth. Last year Broomall beat Mifflin County, 24-1.
Mifflin County had seven hits. Cohen Ritchey and Luke Hale each had two.
Gabe Clark had a double, while Gage Geissinger, Levi Sharp and Brayden Herbster each had singles.

NORTHERN NEW JERSEY 10, MIFFLIN COUNTY 0
OLD BRIDGE, NJ--Mifflin County fell to Northern New Jersey (Wayne), 10-0. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Wayne had eight hits in the game and scored two runs in the first, one in the third, five in the third and two in the fifth.
Mifflin County only had three hits. Cohen Ritchey had a double, while Gage Geissinger and Levi Sharp each had singles.
Mifflin County had a 6-4-3 double play in the first inning. It went from Geissinger to Brody Keefer to Ritchey.
Ritchey finished the tournament with three doubles.
