Sprint cars headed to Port Royal this Saturday

PORT ROYAL — Port Royal Speedway returns to action this Saturday night, June 13, with a fan-friendly program featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, River Rock Campground & RV Park Limited Late Models, and Penns Valley Meat Market PASS 305 Sprint Cars. Fans will also be treated to Camera & Autograph Night, York County Racing Club Night, and the rescheduled Beach Night presented by Port Royal Speedway Ministries and Harshbarger’s Sub N’ Malt.
Following the cancellation of last Saturday’s racing program due to weather, Beach Night activities will now take place during this weekend’s event. Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of summer-themed giveaways and activities throughout the evening.
Port Royal Speedway Ministries and Harshbarger’s Sub N’ Malt will distribute 160 beach towels, 200 beach toys, and a variety of summer-themed prizes to lucky fans. A special beach-themed raffle will also be held during the evening.
The popular Kids’ Zone will feature hula hoops, jump ropes, and hopscotch activities for children attending the event. In addition, one lucky youngster will take home a 20-inch girls’ Tempest bicycle, courtesy of Barney and Cole Baker of B&B Sealcoating, through a special kids’ raffle.
Fans will also have the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers during Camera & Autograph Night. Fans will be able to enter to enter into the pits to meet with their favorite driver, get a picture or two with them, and collect as many autographs as they can.
Members of the York County Racing Club can also take advantage of a special discount, receiving $5 off general admission by presenting their current membership card at the ticket window.
General admission for the event is $20. Student admission for ages 13-17 is $10, while children ages 12 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35.
Saturday’s schedule will see pit gates open at 4 p.m., general admission gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 6 p.m., and racing gets underway at 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in all the off-track festivities before enjoying an exciting night of racing action at “The Speed Palace.”
