By Brad Strawser
PORT ROYAL — One of the most anticipated events of the season is set to roll into Port Royal Speedway this Saturday, as the stars of the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Cars invade “The Speed Palace” as part of the 19th Annual Yokohama USAC Eastern Storm presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment.
Joining the wingless warriors on the racing card will be the USAC Silver Crown Series and the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, creating a triple-header of open-wheel racing that will bring excitement from when the gates open until the drop of the checkered flag.
Eastern Storm has become one of the premier non-wing sprint car tours in the country, showcasing the versatility of the USAC National Sprint Car drivers as they transition from tight bullrings to larger dirt ovals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Port Royal Speedway’s half-mile oval presents a unique challenge that often produces some of the most thrilling racing of the entire Eastern Storm schedule.
Fans can expect a star-studded field of USAC National Sprint Car competitors, including defending Eastern Storm champion Justin Grant, current series standout Kyle Cummins, Mitchel Moles, Brady Bacon, Logan Seavey, Chase Stockon, Kevin Thomas Jr., Jake Swanson, C.J. Leary, Robert Ballou, and Pennsylvania favorite Briggs Danner, among many others.
The USAC Silver Crown Series will also make an appearance at Port Royal Speedway, much to many local fans’ anticipation. The Silver Crown cars, known for their larger size and powerful engines, are among the most historic and prestigious divisions in American motorsports and always provide a spectacular show at The Speed Palace.
Levan Machine & Truck Equipment serves as the presenting sponsor of the Eastern Storm tour. Located just outside Reading, Pennsylvania, Levan Machine & Truck Equipment is a full-service CNC machine shop and work truck upfitter that has been serving customers since 1936.
Saturday’s event will mark one of the few opportunities Pennsylvania race fans have to witness the nation’s top non-wing sprint car drivers compete alongside the USAC Silver Crown Series and Port Royal’s talented 410 Sprint Car competitors on the same evening.
General admission is $30, students ages 13-17 are admitted for $15, and children ages 12 and under are free. Pit admission is $40.
All camping, both dry and electric spots, must be reserved through the Port Royal Speedway website for this weekend’s event.
Pit gates and grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6 p.m., with racing beginning at 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be part of one of the most unique and exciting racing programs of the 2026 season at Port Royal Speedway.
