PORT ROYAL — In an effort to provide some relief for fans and competitors from the forecasted extreme heat, Port Royal Speedway has announced that Wednesday evening’s 36th Annual Pennsylvania Speedweek event will begin one hour later than originally scheduled.
The schedule adjustment is intended to help attendees avoid the hottest part of the day while still allowing fans to enjoy one of the premier events of Pennsylvania Speedweek.
Updated Event Schedule:
All Gates Open: 5 p.m.
Motor Starts: 7 p.m.
Racing to Follow
The evening’s program will feature the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars competing in the 36th Annual Pennsylvania Speedweek event along with the URC 360 Sprint Cars, all presented by Fleet Reps.
“We understand the temperatures are expected to be high on Wednesday, and moving the schedule back one hour is a simple way to make the experience more comfortable for our fans, race teams, and staff,” said Port Royal Speedway management. “We encourage everyone attending to stay hydrated and take advantage of the later start time.”
Fans are reminded to dress appropriately for the heat and stay hydrated throughout the evening.
General admission is $30 for adults, $20 for students ages 13-17, and free for children 12 and under. Pit admission is $40.
