Braves edge Brewers for Super Series title

LEWISTOWN — One thing was for sure in the Cal Ripken Super Series, the winning team was going to come from Belleville.
On Friday night at Rec Park, the Belleville Braves defeated the Belleville Brewers in the championship game, 6-5, for the Mifflin County title.
The Brewers led 5-3 going into the bottom of the fourth, but the Braves scored three runs to win the title.
The Braves had 10 hits with Caleb Peachey and Kaiden Rheam each getting three. Gage Evans chipped in with two. Peachey and Evans each had doubles and Rheam smashed two doubles.
The Brewers also had a big day with the bat as they had 11 hits. Jonas Weaver and Easton Trutt each had three hits. Chase Yoder and Evan Sharp each had two hits for the Brewers. Yoder and Sharp each had doubles.
The Braves used three pitchers, Easton Peachey, Caleb Peachey and Evans.
Rothrock (McVeytown) edged Big Daddy’s (Stodes Mills), 11-10, for third place in the tournament.
