LEWISTOWN–With the conclusion of the 2026 Mifflin County Babe Ruth season, it’s time to look back on the complete standings for the past 60 years.

The league has now been in business for the past 72 seasons. There were no complete standings from 1955 to 1966. There was extensive research and nothing could be found. However from 1967 through this year the standings are complete.

During that time span, Belleville has had the most wins with 866. Reedsville has played the most games with 1,353. Belleville and Belltown are close behind with 1,345 games played and Belltown has 1,342. Other teams right behind those clubs are McVeytown, 1,333; Strodes Mills, 1,329 and Milroy 1,326.

Belleville’s record is 866-479, .644; Reedsville, 857-495, .634; McVeytown, 621-712, .466; Milroy, 577-749, .435 and Strodes Mills, 539-790, .406.

Burnham went to one team in 1970 and its record is 735-558, .568 and has played 1,293 games.

Lewistown joined the league in 1999 and has played in 690 games. Its record is 421-269, .610.

Beaver Springs is the newest member of the league. That franchise came in 2009 and it has played in 423 games. The Springs record is 266-157, .629.

Other teams that have played in the league since 1967 were Yeagertown (1971-2017), 561-565, .598, 1,126 games played; Lewistown East, (1999-2003), 17-116, .128, 133 games; and Beaver Springs East (2022) 0-18.

All the current teams have won the league at least two times in that 60 year span. Belleville leads the pack with 13. Burnham is second with 10 and Lewistown is third with nine. Three teams have won the league six times, McVeytown, Yeagertown and Reedsville. Belltown and Strodes Mills captured the championship three times. Beaver Springs and Milroy have won the league two times each.
