Reedsville beats Strodes, 33-0

LEWISTOWN-Reedsville won its second game of the season as it beat Strodes Mills, 33-0, Tuesday night, in the Mifflin County Babe Ruth League. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Reedsville is now 2-1 and Strodes Mills dropped to 0-3.

Reedsville had 14 hits in the lopsided victory. Carter Palm led the way with four hits. Palm had a triple, knocked in five runs and scored four times. Jackson Tate had three hits and drove in four runs. The other multiple hitter for Reedsville was Noah Bunch with two. Reedsville had nine players get hits.

Caden McClure started the game and got the win with two innings of work. He only faced six batters and struck out three. Andrew Bitner finished the game and gave up two hits and a walk. He struck out six.

Strodes gave up 18 walks, had nine errors and had nine wild pitches that scored Reedsville runs.

Stordes Mills got two singles from Cathen Kibe and Torran Garrity.

NOTES – In Monday’s Babe Ruth story, two Burnham players were misidentified.

Chase Benfer and Cohen Leister each had three hits with each getting a double and a triple in Burnham’s 34-2 victory over Strodes Mills.
