CHAMBERSBURG — The Mifflin County Huskies crowned two champions at the Mid Penn Track and Field Championships on Saturday, in Chambersburg.

Both came on the boys side as Reece Bell won the javelin title with a throw of 179-10 and Carter Smith captured top honors in the 1,600 with a time of 4:17.72.

Three other Huskies reached the podium as: Wyatt Kauffman placed second in the 1,600 in 4:21.87; Reese Cubbison took third in the 1,600 running 4:23.37 and Dekker Pietszch placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 44-7 ¼. Jovie Kauffman ran a personal-best time of 1:02.38 in the 400.
