Wildcats rout Tigers

COCOLAMUS — East Juniata baseball dropped to 0-8 on the season with a 15-5 loss to Greenwood on Monday afternoon.

Greenwood tallied three runs in the first inning and the Tigers answered with two in the bottom of the frame.

The Wildcats posted one insurance run in the second stanza and four more runs in the third. Then, EJ tacked on another run in the third.

Greenwood added three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth. Then, the Wildcats added three runs in the sixth frame.

EJ had two runs in the fifth inning. The Tigers corralled eight hits with nine errors.

Greenwood had 10 hits with one error.

Indians drub Rockets, 11-0

SOUTHERN HUNTINGDON — Juniata baseball toppled Southern Huntingdon on Monday, 11-0.

Juniata is now 2-8 on the year.

Juniata tallied six runs in the first inning and four more runs in the second. The victors had one run in the fifth.

Juniata posted seven hits with one error.

The Rockets had two hits and two errors.

Black Panthers sink Indians

MILTON — Milton softball edged Juniata on Monday, 8-7.

Milton scored once in the first stanza and had three more runs in the third inning. The Black Panthers tallied two more runs in the fourth and sixth frames, respectively.

Juniata (2-9) had one run in the second and third innings. Then, the visitors added two more runs in the fourth and fifth. They had one more run in the seventh and final frame.

Juniata had 10 hits with six errors. Milton had five hits with two miscues.
