ALTOONA — Altoona softball bulldozed Juniata on Wednesday, 12-1.
For the Indians, Alexi Deppen posted a triple and Julia Martin added a single. Deppen would go on to score.
For Altoona, Kaya Sprankle had three RBIs and two hits. Natalie Baker and Lilly Snyder each corralled two RBIs with two hits.
Altoona had 11 hits and zero errors.
Juniata tallied two total hits and two miscues.

Huskies sweep Colts
LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County volleyball faced Cedar Cliff on Wednesday and swept the Colts.
The seventh grade Huskies started off with a 25-15 win. They then had to battle it out in set two to secure the match. The Huskies and the Colts exchanged leads multiple times before the Huskies won 30-28. Ava Moyer led the group with five kills and two aces while Alivia Rhoades added two aces and three kills in the effort.
The eighth grade Huskies had to battle back but ultimately walked away with the win. The Huskies won set one 25-17. Then they found themselves down 18-22 in set two but were able to rally back to hold off the Colts, thanks to some timely serving from Braylee Breon. The Huskies didn’t allow Cedar Cliff to score another point, winning set two, 25-22.
Grayce Napikoski led the group with sixteen kills and thirteen digs.
Addyson Marks also had a strong defensive night with eleven digs, while Geneva Kelly added nine to go along with her team-high four aces. Breon had three aces late in the game to help secure the win, while Sarah Hartsock added two aces, four digs and eighteen assists.
The Huskies are on the road Friday for a matchup with Chambersburg.
