Huskies dominate Panthers

LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County boys lacrosse faced CD East on Monday evening. The Huskies were victorious, 12-6, and are now 3-5 in the season.
Easton Zook led the way in scoring for the Huskies with three points. Trey Smith, Dodger Weaver, Raul Rodriguez, and Dakota Gibbons also scored with two points apiece. Then Gabe Getz scored one point.
Huskies coach Brett Rogers said, “Anytime we play a team as close to us in skill, it’s nice to come out on top winning.” He then stated, “The opposing team never gives up when we play them, and I admire it. Even when they are down 4 or so points, they keep pushing.”
CD East managed to come back in the third quarter by scoring four points and almost tying the game. In the end, the Huskies scored three points in the fourth quarter, winning the game.
CD East is 0-9 in the season right now and will take on State College on Wednesday at 5 p.m. As for the Huskies, their next game is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Carlisle.
