MIFFLINTOWN — Jasper Shepps dropped 31 points to power Juniata’s boys basketball win over Halifax on Monday night, 61-52.

Shepps drilled three three-pointers and Damien Vance also posted three.

Drew Geedey added nine points as did Vance. Brian Kuhn tallied seven in the home win.

Juniata held a 42-27 lead at halftime.

Halifax got 14 points from Solly Crum and 18 from Josh Zahurak. Cody Attivo tacked on 12 points.

Halifax had five made shots from downtown.

Next, Juniata goes to Millersburg on Thursday.

Thunder best Harrisburg, 80-59

BELLEVILLE — Belleville Christian beat Harrisburg Academy on Monday, 80-59.

BCS (5-5) got 24 points from Grant Yoder and 16 from Landon Rhodes. Ethan Renno added 12 points. Bryson Peachey and Devin Yoder each tallied nine points.

Harrisburg got 48 points from DeShawn Moultie.

Next, BCS will host Columbia County Christian today at 6:45.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Juniata pummels Halifax, 52-24

HALIFAX — Juniata beat Halifax in girls hoops on Monday evening, 52-24.

For Juniata, Mylee Landis posted 19 points. Lindsea Gilson and Carolyn Heidenreich each corralled eight points. Sara Montoya and Grace Reinhold each tallied six points.

Juniata outscored Halifax, 35-15, in the opening half.

Next, Juniata hosts Millersburg on Thursday night.

Blackhawks down Tigers, 54-16

COCOLAMUS — Susquenita got seven three-pointers and defeated East Juniata in girls hoops on Monday, 54-16.

Claire Wechsler posted 14 points for the Blackhawks.

For the Lady Tigers, center Landyn Cramer had 14 points.

Harrisburg dodges BCS, 48-33

BELLEVILLE — Harrisburg Academy toppled Belleville Christian on Monday night, 48-33.

BCS (3-7, 3-2 ACAA) got six points from Katelyn Renno. Izzy Weaver and Hailey Zook each posted five.

Next, the Thunder face Columbia County Christian today.
