Danville sinks Midd-West, 58-28
DANVILLE — Midd-West fell to Danville on Tuesday night in girls basketball, 58-28.
For Midd-West, Izzy Walter and Emma Wagner each had eight points. Cali Sauer added six points. Midd-West made three shots from downtown.
For Danville, CeCe Coombe dropped 32 points and Hannah Merrell tacked on 10.
Columbia drops Thunder, 41-28
BELLEVILLE — Columbia County Christian beat Belleville Christian, 41-28, in girls hoops on Tuesday night.
BCS (3-7, 3-3 ACAA) got seven points from Hailey Zook and six points from Katelyn Renno.
Next, BCS visits Northumberland Christian on Friday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Columbia thwarts BCS, 40-33
BELLEVILLE — Columbia County Christian topped Belleville Christian on Tuesday night, 40-33.
BCS (5-6) got 16 points from Devin Yoder and Grant Yoder posted nine points.
The Thunder had five three-pointers in the contest.
Next, BCS travels to Northumberland on Friday.

Huskies split with Spartans
HERSHEY — Mifflin County junior high boys basketball traveled to Milton Hershey on Monday, coming away with a win and a loss.
The Huskies seventh grade team came away with their fifth win out of their last six games with a strong offensive performance, winning by a score of 41-31. The offensive attack was led by Zach Smith as he scored 23 points and Carter Smith added eight points.
Mifflin County’s eighth grade team fought hard but was overwhelmed by Milton Hershey’s size and quickness. MC lost the ballgame, 39 -14.
Both Husky teams return home Wednesday and Thursday with games against Mechanicsburg and Altoona.
