MIFFLINTOWN - The high school fall sports season is getting underway, and the Juniata County School District Board of Directors approved a few last-minute coaches at its monthly meeting on Thursday night at the administration office in Mifflintown.
The coaches hired included:
EAST JUNIATA HIGH SCHOOL
Alyssa Robinson, assistant girls soccer coach;
Clarye Tusing, volunteer girls soccer coach;
Dan Wagner, volunteer girls soccer coach.
TUSCARORA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Heaven Ackerman, volunteer cheerleading coach;
Connor Boreman, volunteer football coach;
Jerret Condo, volunteer football coach.
The school board also approved facility-use requests for:
Layne Greenholt, of the Juniata High School volleyball team, to use the Juniata Elementary School gymnasium and cafeteria for an Alumni vs. Varsity scrimmage on July 23, for no fee;
Glenn Grimm, of the McAlisterville men's baseball team, to use the East Juniata High School baseball field, for games as needed from July 28 to Aug. 9, for no fee.
