Rahmer passes Macri for win at Lincoln Speedway

By Todd Heintzelman 3 min read

ABBOTTSTOWN -- Freddie Rahmer passed Anthony Macri on lap 14, and went

on to win the Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek race Monday night at

Lincoln Speedway.

Rahmer’s fourth career Speedweek win was worth $10,000 in the

family-owned No. 51.

Rain began to fall during a red flag period with five laps to go in

the 30-lap feature. Officials decided to call the race official at

that time.

Macri finished second followed by Aaron Bollinger, Kody Hartlaub and

Cameron Smith. Danny Dietrich, Kyle Larson, Logan Rumsey, Troy Wagaman

Jr., and Lucas Wolfe rounded out the top 10.

It was Freddie’s first Speedweek win since Lincoln two years ago.

Rahmer’s win also put him on top of the series standings. He finished

fourth in the opener Sunday night at BAPS. His father, Fred, is a

13-time series champion and 30-time Speedweek winner.

BAPS winner Danny Dietrich is second (-20) and Macri (-33) third in

the standings after two races. Cameron Smith (-51) and Troy Wagaman

Jr. (-86) are top five.

The series was scheduled to be at Grandview Speedway last night, but

it was canceled due to the forecasted severe weather.

Tonight is Port Royal Speedway’s first Speedweek race of the year and

only third of this year’s series.

Keith Kauffman, Lance Dewease and Lucas Wolfe are tied with most

Speedweek wins at the track with four.

Kyle Larson has two Port Royal Speedweek wins (20 & 21) and seven

sprint car wins overall at the track and will be in the field tonight.

Anthony Macri has won two of the last three at Port Royal, and is the

two-time and defending Speedweek champion. Logan Wagner is the

most-recent Port Royal Speedweek winner.

The series heads to Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway tomorrow night, and then

to Williams Grove Friday night for the $20,000 to win Mitch Smith

Memorial. Logan Schuchart won at Hagerstown last year, and Brent Marks

in ’22 and ’23,. Macri won the Mitch Smith Memorial last year. It’s

back to Port Royal for the 7th Annual Greg Hodnett Classic Saturday

night before the series wraps up at Path Valley Sunday night. It

appears the weather will cooperate more for the second half of the

week after three of the first five races were rained out.
