LEWISTOWN - Lewistown Rec Park Pool and The Juniata Valley YMCA are excited to announce the return of the Summer Swim Team for 2025. After a break, local swimmers can join a fun and competitive summer season this summer!
Who Can Join: Boys and girls ages 5 to 18 (as of June 1, 2025) who can swim across the pool without help. Practices will be Monday through Wednesday evenings in June and July. Swim meets will be on Thursday evenings.
Program Goals: This program helps kids improve swimming skills, learn teamwork, and stay active in a fun environment. Parents are needed to help run the swim meets.
Pool Improvements: The Rec Park Pool has made numerous improvements in preparation for this summer. The community also raised money for a new water slide through events like the “Pool Waves & Local Faves” fundraiser.
Registration & Info: You can find registration details on the team's website at https://t.ly/JVStingrays. Online registration is available through the link. In-person registration will be on May 8 and May 22 at the Juniata Valley YMCA.
Fees:
One swimmer: $100
Two swimmers: $150
Three swimmers: $180
Four or more swimmers: $200
