Indians corral Mustangs, 65-47
MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata boys basketball beat Midd-West on Wednesday, 65-47.
Jasper Shepps dropped 31 points for Juniata (11-9) and Damien Vance added 15. Ricky Guante posted nine points. Issac Carlson tallied six points. Juniata drilled eight three-pointers.
For the Mustangs (2-17), Zani Cooley had 19 points and Gabe Romig had 14 points. Midd-West made 10 treys in the contest.
Juniata hosts East Juniata today at 6 p.m. Midd-West visits Bloomsburg tonight at 7:30 p.m.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Wildcats swat Tigers, 40-31
MIFFLINBURG — Mifflinburg girls hoops topped East Juniata on Wednesday, 40-31.
Jayda Tilghman had 15 points for Mifflinburg (3-15). Brooke Gessner added nine points and Taylor Weller recorded seven points.
For EJ (6-14), Landyn Cramer posted 13 points. Kennedy Seigler-Lewis had seven points. Madison Snyder added six points.
EJ was outscored in the second half, 18-13.
The Tigers visit Juniata today at 7:30 p.m.
