Huskies rough up Mustangs in finale, 57-29

MIDDLEBURG -- Mifflin County closed the regular season in convincing fashion by defeating Midd-West in boys basketball action Tuesday night, 57-29.

Husky sophomore Zach Keller led the way with 13 points with fellow sophomore Carson Franklin adding 11.

The JV Huskies closed their season as well with a win, defeating the Mustangs 57-20. Husky sophomores Lucas Hartung and Preston Earnest led the way with 10 apiece, and every player that played scored for the boys.

The Huskies closed their regular season with a 10-12 record and shift their focus to the District 6 playoffs next week.

For Midd-West (2-19), Gabe Romig had nine points and D'zani Coley added eight points. Logan Hollenbach posted seven points.

Midd-West hosts Milton on Thursday in their season finale.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Columbia downs BMS, 39-25

BELLEVILLE -- Columbia County Christian beat Belleville Mennonite in girls hoops on Tuesday, 39-25.

BMS (8-13, 5-6 ACAA) got seven points from Katelyn Renno. Karina Renno added six points. Elaina Peachey tallied six points, too.

For Columbia, Ashleigh Boudmen had 21 points and Aubrey Mood recorded nine points.

On Friday at 5:30 p.m., BMS hosts Grace Prep to end the regular season.

Warriors edge Tigers, 35-31

NORTHUMBERLAND -- Northumberland Christian beat East Juniata in girls hoops on Monday, 35-31.

For Norry, Ava Phillips had 14 points and Emma Conner added eight points. Tabitha Reitz had six points.

For EJ (6-17), Landyn Cramer had 14 points and Madison Snyder tallied nine points. Kennedy Seigler-Lewis had eight points.
