Black Knights topple Trojans, 47-27
MT. UNION — Moshannon Valley beat Mt. Union in wrestling on Tuesday night, 47-27.
At 121, Trojan Kamden Beatty pinned David Campbell at 38 seconds. At 127, Black Knight Aaron Cook pinned Miriam Shugarts at 1:32.
Jacik Hess got a pinfall against Knight Alan McCracken at 1:07 during the 139-pound bout.
Micah Atherton pinned Knight Evan Krause at 2:45 during the 160-pound bout.
Josh Ryan, at 215, earned a 6-3 decision over Knight Tyler Lobb.
The Trojans visit West Branch at 7 p.m. Thursday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Thunder traps Bears, 35-31
ALTOONA — Belleville Mennonite girls hoops topped Great Commission on Tuesday, 35-31.
Karina Renno had 19 points for BMS and Katelyn Renno added 10.
For the Bears, Alexa Hall posted 11 points. Bayla Miller chalked up seven points. Ava Bordock and Allison Hall each had six.
Each team tallied three treys in the contest. BMS went 10-for-18 at the foul line. The Bears went 3-for-10.
BMS (5-4, 2-2 ACAA) visits Columbia County on Friday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Best powers Bears over Thunder, 68-57
ALTOONA — Great Commission got 26 points from Eli Best as the Bears beat Belleville Mennonite on Tuesday, 68-57.
Charlie Lohsi added 18 Commission points and Kyle Rodgers posted 14.
For BMS, Grant Yoder scored 16 points and Clay Ammon also had 16. Bryson Peachey added 10 BMS points. Collin Hartzler chimed in with six points.
BMS (2-6) travels to play Columbia County on Friday.

Huskies draw with Park Forest
LEWISTOWN — On Tuesday, Mifflin County Junior High boys basketball teams were back in action as they hosted Park Forest of State College.
The Husky seventh graders started the day winning their fourth game in a row by recording a 36-29 victory.
Landon Cunningham led the way with 12 points and Connor Donovan added 10. Donovan and Bronn Zook were clutch by shooting free throws down the stretch, going 7-10 combined.
The eighth grade Huskies lost to Park Forest, 27-17. Turnovers were the story of the night , dooming the host team and keeping them off the scoreboard. Justin Cruz had six points in the loss and Rowan Deamer added five.
Both Husky teams are back at it today as they travel to Hershey.
