BLOOMSBURG -- Midd-West's Ben Hummel was second at the District 4 Championships in cross country on Thursday at Bloomsburg University.
Hummel had a mark of 15:59.4 and was a state qualifier. Ian Hall ran a 19:15.8, good for 66th place for the Mustangs.
Lane Yount was 82nd with a 20:03.5 and Ben DeLong ran a 21:29.5, good for 103rd.
On the girls side, Ashlyn Hoffman placed 30th with a 20:07.3 and Alannah Hoover was 60th at 24:34.3.
Asia Seibel ran a 25:00.4, good for 66th for Midd-West.

Mustangs edge Bluejays, 1-0
TURBOTVILLE -- No. 6 Midd-West field hockey beat No. 3 Central Columbia on Thursday, 1-0, in the District 4 Class 1A quarterfinals at Warrior Run High School.
Kinzee Batdorf had the lone Mustangs goal.
Central led in corners, 15-6, and they had more shots, 8-3.
Midd-West's Aleah Feltman tallied eight saves.
Midd-West plays the No. 2 Bloomsburg-No. 7 Benton winner next Monday at a time to be determined.
