MERCERSBURG -- Mifflin County girls soccer snapped a five-game losing streak by stumping James Buchanan Wednesday, 7-1.
Mackenzie Peachey had four goals in the road victory for the Huskies. Makenna Spickler, Madison Keefer and Ciara Williams each had a goal, too.
The Huskies outshot the Rockets, 22-3.
Madilyn Sloss had 15 saves for the Huskies (2-5-1, 2-5-1 Mid-Penn).
The Huskies visit State College (1-7) on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Trinity sweeps Huskies, 3-0
LEWISTOWN -- Trinity dismantled Mifflin County volleyball in three sets Wednesday, 25-13, 25-10, 25-14.
Riley Hine had three kills, five digs and a block for MC. Maggie McMullen had four kills with two digs. Emily Porch tallied nine digs and Kate Hartzler added five assists.
Trinity also beat JV Huskies, 25-12 and 25-14.
Kate Hartzler had two kills, three assists and three blocks for MC. Leah Hartzler added three kills and two blocks. Brooke Wray had two kills and five assists; Ella Lutz posted eight digs.
The Huskies (2-6) visit Juniata Valley Monday at 7:15 p.m.

Mustangs tie Green Dragons
LEWISBURG -- Midd-West boys soccer ended their double-overtime game with Lewisburg in a draw Tuesday at 1-1.
Mustang Alex Trojan scored in the second half to even the score at 1. Brandon Ferster had the assist.
Cohen Hoover scored in the first half for the Green Dragons (6-1-1) as Isaac Ayres had the assist.
Midd-West (5-1-2, 1-0-2 Heartland) hosts Greenwood at 5:30 on Saturday. Lewisburg visits Selinsgrove Thursday.

The Seals (5-2, 3-0 PHAC 1) outshot Midd-West, 14-5. Maci Tittle had 12 saves for the Mustangs (2-5, 1-2 PHAC 1).
Seal Elizabeth Varner recorded five saves.

Indians win at St. Joe's
BOALSBURG -- Juniata boys cross country placed six runners in the top 10 and won another TVAA league meet Tuesday, at St. Joe's.
Senior Wyatt Stroup remains undefeated in the TVAA league.
In the girls race, sophomore Sylvia Brubaker took another win, running the challenging St. Joseph’s course in a time of 20:37.51. She remains undefeated in TVAA competition.
Juniata freshman Carolyn Heidenreich placed seventh with a time of 25:10.26. Freshman Hannah Zeiders placed 10th with a time of 26:16.79.
The Juniata girls team won against Upper Dauphin 14-22 and took losses against St. Joe’s 22-14 and Newport 29-28.
“We have five girls on our team, but only three could run today, making it hard to win. Sylvia, Carolyn, and Hanna got in some good work today," Indians coach Jeff Miller stated.
“We ran strong as a team tonight. We weren’t focused on times, but on some goal-pace work within the 5k race. They all stayed focused and got the job done.”
Juniata travels to Hershey on Saturday to participate in the PIAA Hershey Foundation Invitational held on the state cross country course.

Ironmen sweep XC meet
DANVILLE - Danville won both the boys and girls competition during a cross country quad meet Tuesday that included Midd-West, Southern Columbia and Jersey Shore.
Danville got five wins on the boys side and six on the girls side. Southern had two wins on the boys side and two on the girls side. Midd-West earned two wins on the girls side. Jersey Shore won twice on each side.
Ben Hummel placed first at 17:44.0 for Midd-West in the third race. Danville's Wyatt Brady was second at 18:20.0.
Liam Wagner finished eighth at 13:04.0 for Midd-West in the first race as Ironman Wesley Oldfield was first at 11.23.0.
Evelyn Weiser was fifth at 13:28.0 for Midd-West in the second race. Aubrey Hoover was sixth at 13:29.0. Nora Harte of Danville was first at 12:37.0. Julia Boop placed eighth for the Mustangs at 14:11.
Asia Seibel was 13th in race No. 4 for the Mustangs at 26:28.0. Danville's Odin Ryer was first at 19:36.0.
