The Mustangs scored six runs in the third inning and then seven runs in the fourth frame.
Kyle Shupp had three hits, including a triple and a double for the victors. Garrett Leitzel added two hits in the road win.
Cole Keister pitched three innings for Midd-West and Braxton Smith pitched two frames.
Nico Niamo and Michael Hoy each posted a hit for Greenwood.
Next, Midd-West (1-0) visits Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Mustangs rout Wildcats, 15-3
MIDDLEBURG -- Audrey Norman recorded four goals as Midd-West girls lacrosse topped Mifflinburg on Wednesday, 15-3.
Adi Friel added a hat-trick and Ella Swartz tallied two goals for Midd-West. Claire Steininger, Sammy Landis, Emma Stahl, and Alyssa Debner each had a goal. Layla Brunson had two goals.
Norman and Swartz each had two assists for the Mustangs.
Alaina Yount had two goals for Mifflinburg and Elizabeth Delcamp added a score.
Midd-West travels to Selinsgrove on Friday at 6:15 p.m.
