KNOXVILLE -- The Liberty Flames women's swimming and diving team won their 6th conference championship in a row this weekend, at the ASUN Conference Championships at the University of Tennessee.
Senior Sydney Houtz earned a bronze medal in the 100 backstroke with a personal best of 54.50, and finished fourth in the 200 backstroke with another lifetime best of 1.57.44.
She concludes her career holding the fourth fastest 50 backstroke record all-time in Liberty history, as well as the seventh fastest time in 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.
She was a seven-time district champion for Juniata Senior High School, a bronze medalist twice and a five-time medalist in the state of Pa., as well as a multi-finalist at YMCA Nationals.
