MIFFLINTOWN -- Juniata boys tennis moved to 7-3 on the season as they topped James Buchanan on Thursday afternoon, 5-0.
Xane Whitesel won in his singles match, 6-3, 6-3. Fellow Indian Connor Peterson blanked his Rocket opponent, 6-0, 6-0. William Hazard beat his foe, 6-1, 6-3.
Ben Losch and Arthur Hazard won in doubles play, 6-3, 6-2.
Owen Hubley and Chris Martin were victorious for Juniata in doubles action, 7-5, 6-3.
Juniata hosts Tyrone on Monday at 4 p.m.

Juniata stumps Wildcats
MIFFLINTOWN -- Liz Gaisior breezed through Greenwood's lineup as Juniata beat the Wildcats in softball action on Thursday, 14-0, in five innings.
Gaisior struck out 13 Wildcats in five frames of work. Teammate Riley Lyter had two hits and two runs with a pair of RBIs.
Ava Lauver recorded a double, a walk and two runs scored for Juniata.
The Indians (8-1) face Altoona on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Greenwood falls to 1-5 on the season.

Eagles sweep Huskies
MECHANICSBURG -- Cumberland Valley swept Mifflin County in track and field action on Thursday.
The Eagles won the boys' competition, 103-46. On the girls' side, the Eagles won, 129-20.
However, history was made for the Huskies as Jayden King set a school and county record by getting 46 feet and one and a half inches in the triple jump. He was first in the triple jump event.
Myka Simmons also had a mark of 11.16 in the 100 meter dash, which is also a Mifflin County record. He placed first in the 100 meter event.
In the javelin, Josiah Sechler had a mark of 178' 2" which gave him first place for Mifflin County.
In the 400, Carter Smith had a time of 53.90 seconds, which gave him first place.
Simmons ran the 200 meter dash in 22.56 seconds, which gave him second place behind Cumberland's Kadin Sodmont. Sodmont was first with a mark of 22.54.
Tylor Druckemiller placed second in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:00.76 for the Huskies.
Nahfee Jones was second in the 110 meter hurdles with a mark of 17.19 seconds for Mifflin County. Jones was second in the 300 meter hurdles at 44.08.
Jayden King placed first in the high jump with a mark of five feet and four inches. Styers Oden had a nine foot pole vault, which gave him second place in the event.
King was first in the long jump at 20 feet and three and three-fourths inches.
Stats from the girls track and field events were not provided.

Eagles top Tigers
Line Mountain scored three times in the seventh inning en route to a 5-3 victory over East Juniata on Wednesday.
For the Tigers, Tate Jamison had a hit and stole a base while scoring a run.
Kelton Bonnell had a triple in three at-bats for EJ and Tate Jamison had a hit and scored a run.
On Friday, EJ hosts Newport at 4:30 p.m.
