Lebanon Valley College recognized its student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen fall athletic teams.
Local students include:
James McLaughlin of Mifflintown, a graduate of Juniata High School and member of the football team, is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science. The LVC football team finished 5-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference and qualified for a berth in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series. The team won four straight in the middle of the season with key victories over FDU-Florham, Wilkes, Alvernia, and Misericordia. Seven Dutchmen were named All-MAC and eight were recognized as Academic All-District.
Andrew Loy of Millerstown, a graduate of Greenwood High School and member of the men's cross country team, is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration. The LVC men's cross country team completed a fall season that included two runners qualifying for NCAA Championships. Three student-athletes finished with All-Middle Atlantic Conference accolades, and the team placed sixth at NCAA Regionals which was its best finish in program history.
Madison McDonald of Thompsontown, a graduate of East Juniata High School and member of the women's soccer team, is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science. The LVC women's soccer team advanced to the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth semifinals after finishing with a 5-2-1 conference record. Five of the team's six wins came in conference play. Five student-athletes earned All-MAC accolades and six were named Academic All-District.
