Tyrone defeats Juniata in first round

TYRONE — The Juniata volleyball season has ended as the Indians were defeated by Tyrone, 3-0, in a District 4 Class 2A first round matchup, Thursday.
“We had a phenomenal season,” Indians coach Susan Paden said. “We had a great team with a great bunch of girls that worked hard and had great chemistry.”
The Indians were led by junior Lexi Frontz who collected five kills, six digs along with an ace. Senior Cheyenne Nealman had four digs and an ace, Autumn Graybill had seven digs and Isabella Armstrong scored six assists.
Juniata finishes the year at 13-10 and coach Paden is proud of her team and wishes all of them nothing but the best.
“This year we had a great group of girls who fought for each other and helped each other succeed,” Paden said.
