MIDDLEBURG -- Midd-West rolled to a 6-0 victory over Lourdes Regional during a District 4 Class 2A play-in game on Monday night.
"Tonight we possessed the ball, finished opportunities, played with heart and had some fun," Midd-West coach Mark Ferster said. "We have to continue to work hard and play for one another and take each game one at a time while playing to our ability."
Owen Solomon and Noah Romig each tallied two goals in the home win. Fellow Mustang Evan Leitzel had a goal of his own. Gage Kuhns added a goal for Midd-West.
The Mustangs outshot the Red Raiders 33-1.
The Mustangs will face Wellsboro at Balls Mills Complex in Williamsport on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Hornets went 15-3 during the regular season and earned the third seed for the district playoffs.
