ALEXANDRIA -- Bryce Danish kept the Juniata Valley bats at bay as Mount Union dropped the Hornets 11-0 in Inter-County Conference baseball action Monday.
Danish pitched for six innings and allowed only one hit, striking out eight against two walks.
Braylan Knable had one hit in the game, but that one hit was a home run. Dayvon Wilson and Landon Chrisemer each had multiple-hit games.
Mount Union travels to Glendale today.

DUNCANNON -- It only took five innings, but the Juniata bats were too much for Susquenita to handle as the Indians dominated, 15-0, in a Tri-Valley League baseball game on Monday.
The Indians scored 11 runs in the top of the fifth inning. Dawson Harper, Josh Bomberger, Jacob Condo and Logan Kehler all had multiple hits in the game.
Harper also got the win on the mound throwing all five innings with eight strikeouts and only one walk.
Juniata hosts Greenwood today.

MIFFLINBURG -- Midd-West held off a late charging Mifflinburg to come out victorious, 6-5, in a Heartland Athletic Conference softball game Monday.
Teagan Schreffler led the Mustangs at the plate going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and a double. Lorna Oldt was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Oldt also pitched all seven innings and collected five strikeouts.
Midd-West hosts Danville today.

MOUNT UNION -- The Tyrone bats were too much for Mount Union as the Trojans fell 12-2 in nonleague softball action Monday.
Kendra Gardner was 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in the lone run for the Trojans. Sophie Smith, Chelsea Williams, Patyn Crisswell, Minerva Sheeder and Abbey Brodbeck each had a hit.
