A day after the PIAA voted to proceed with the winter sports season as scheduled for Friday, Gov. Tom Wolf announced new mitigation rules that will begin on Saturday, forcing all youth sporting events in Pennsylvania to be canceled for the next three weeks.

While Mifflin County, Juniata, East Juniata and Mount Union had already delayed the start of the 2020-21 winter sports season until January, Juniata Christian, Belleville Mennonite and Midd-West had all planned to begin their winter sports schedules on time.

PENN STATE KICK TIME CHANGED TO NOON

Editor's note: This week's GameDay edition was printed before the time change was made public.

Penn State University announced on Thursday afternoon that the kickoff time for Penn State's Senior Day game against Michigan State will now take place at noon instead of 3:30 p.m. The game will not be televised on ABC instead of ESPN.

In 34 all-time meetings, the Spartans lead, 17-16-1. Last season, PSU quarterback Sean Clifford threw four touchdowns passes and Pat Freiermuth caught three of them in a 28-7 victory at Spartan Stadium. KJ Hamler added five catches for 57 yards and a score.
