See, say and spell
At this time of year many are thinking about plans and purpose for the rest of the year. If we are to fulfill God’s plan for our lives and walk in His Word, we must have vision. The following teaching shows us steps to how we can see the vision God has for us come about.
Prov 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
To be victorious as a Christian, to succeed in life and overcome all the obstacles that the world, the flesh and the devil throw our way, we must first and foremost have a vision. Because as the scripture declares, without one you are sunk. God has given us a vision in His Word. The Christian must search the Scriptures because revealed within its holy pages is the vision, plan and direction for your life. It is not enough just to know the vision, we must see the vision of God come to pass and function in our lives. Once you have discovered God’s dream and plan for your life there are three things you can do to see it become a reality.
First, you must see the vision. 2 Cor. 4:18 reveals, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Once you have determined the vision of God, meditate on it, think on it, get a picture of it in your spirit. You must see it on the inside before you ever see it in the natural. Use your sanctified imagination to see yourself being and doing a vision God has given you. When you pray, see the thing that you’re praying for in your mind’s eye. Imagine yourself with that thing you are praying for. Pray in line with God’s Word. It is by his Word and through His Word that we receive God’s plan and purpose for our lives.
Second, you must say the vision. 2 Cor 4:13 tells us that “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” Heb 10:23 joins in by saying, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
If you want to see the promise and vision of God come to pass, you must have it in your heart and in your mouth. Talk it, speak it and repeat it out your mouth. The more you do, the closer you are to seeing your dream fulfilled. Repeat the promises of God in prayer. Only share them with those who believe with you. Do not share your dreams with those who ridicule and criticize. Find people who will agree with you in prayer and support your vision.
And third, you must spell out the vision. Write it down. Habbakuk 2:2-3 says, “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
There is something about writing something down that gets things done. The business world understands that when you write down your plans and goals they are more apt to be completed than not. What do you want from God? What is the vision God has given you? Write it down. Keep it in front of you. Refer to it often. God wants to give you the desires of your heart. Do your part to see them come to pass. See the vision. Say the vision. And write the vision.
See it, say it, spell it. It will surely come to pass.
