Youth in Grades 4 and up – Join our book club for June. Grades 4-6 are reading The Vanderbeekers of 141st St. (about a siblings that come up with funny plans to save their apartment/home) and Grades 7 and up are reading Peak (14 year old boy climbing Mt. Everest). Fill out the form here (https://forms.gle/6PjFnPj6B5GhFa5e9) and the book will be ready for you to pick up at the library. Read at home during the month of June and meet at the end of the month for food, discussion, and activities about the book.
Magic Tree House Book Club (grades K-3) – The Magic Tree House book club will meet weekly on Monday afternoons at 2 p.m. for kids entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Each week we will discuss a different MTH book, participate in activities about the book or the time period in which the book takes place, and either do a craft or make a treat that goes along with the books. Participants can read the book on their own (or not!) at home beforehand, but this is not required. We will have a great discussion at the beginning of each club meeting. Please note: books will not be provided for this club. We do have copies of these books at the library and they're available as eBooks or audiobooks with your library card on the Libby app. Pre-registration is not required, just helpful for planning – and registering your child does not commit you to attending every week (but we'd love it if you do.). Preschool (ages 3-5 years) storytime meets on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. Storytime will include books, rhymes, flannel board activities, music and movement. We will also have a craft available at the end of storytime. Our summer program is all about adventure. We will have stories about travels, camping, going back in time and more.
Our Toddler (ages 18 months to 2 years) storytime and playgroup meets on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. and will be a modified version of the weekly theme with books, songs, rhymes.
