Vote for a candidate who works for you on Nov. 3

The headlines read "Department of Health (DOH) Withdraws Overbearing Health Regulations After Public Outcry. Pennsylvania Voices Were Heard. Shapiro Regulations Stopped."

Thanks to over 10,000 letters from ordinary PA citizens, school board members, community leaders, legislators, and others, the 502-page takeover of your health care rights under the Constitution is dead.

Under the governor's plan, the DOH could enter your home, your child's school, your workplace without prior approval to carry out actions on any given health concern. Or, they could influence other health care professionals to follow current procedures that the DOH guidelines put in place without any question. (Sounds to me like mandates during the COVID years when people were required to get the COVID shots in order to keep their jobs or when they were to have surgery. I lost my husband because he was ordered to have the COVID shots before he could have cancer surgery. After receiving the second shot, he immediately became ill and died nine days later. I believe this was a preventable death.)

Re-read the last three words of the first paragraph: Shapiro Regulations Stopped. Don't be fooled: if Shapiro wins another term as governor of PA, I believe he will try again in some other way to get his wishes passed. It is, I believe, called “control.” No doubt his re-election campaign people advised him to not push the regulations because it would hurt his re-election chances.

Democrats, Republicans, and Independents...think before you vote on Nov. 3. I believe socialism is alive and well, and control is on the mind of our current governor.

Stacy Garrity, our Republican candidate for governor, has over thirty years of service to our military reserves, a degree in economics, experience in running businesses, and on-the-job experience as our current state treasurer, noted as having saved our state millions of dollars.

Remember, on Nov. 3, Election Day, no matter what political party you're in, you can cross party lines and vote for the candidate who will honestly work for you and your family.
