Pennsylvania School Retirees Association thanks Academy collaborators

2 min read

The Mifflin County chapter of the Pennsylvania School Retirees Association (PASR) would like to take this opportunity to extend its thanks to the Academy for its recent collaboration with us. When we approached the Academy through Mr. Travis McCullough about the possibility of it hosting a regional PASR meeting at the school, with the culinary students preparing and serving a meal, he was immediately "all in," coordinating approvals from administration, arranging for a room for us to use, and, of course, offering us a wonderful menu. Thanks to Mr. A. Michael Durn, administrative director, and Mr. Mark Crosson, principal, for welcoming our retirees. Thanks as well to Betsy Casner and Hope Lewis, who greeted our PASR guests and escorted them to the meeting room. We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant reception. Thanks also go to Ashlie Crosson, who took the time to speak with our group about her experiences as National Teacher of the Year.

Kudos to the culinary students who prepared and served our meal. It was absolutely delicious and exceeded all expectations! We were happy to have time to speak with the students, who were so pleasant and willing to talk with us. Our impression of the Academy was very positive; this community should be proud of what the school is doing for its students.
