A heartfelt thank you

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Mifflin County Veterans Organization, we extend our deepest gratitude to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lewistown, and the Barnabas Brothers for their unwavering support and hospitality over the last three years. Your generosity in hosting our monthly meetings has provided us with a welcoming and nurturing environment, fostering camaraderie and community among our members.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce our decision to move our meeting location to the Reedsville Fire Company. Due to the remarkable growth in attendance at our meetings, we have unfortunately outgrown the fellowship hall at St. John’s Lutheran Church. While we are excited about this new chapter, we are also saddened to leave a place that had been so integral to our organization.

Your kindness and dedication have made a significant impact on our veterans. We vividly remember the first meeting we held at St. John’s, where the warmth and hospitality of the Barnabas Brothers made everyone feel at home. The fellowship hall has been a place where friendships were forged, stories were shared, and support was given freely.

While our location is changing, we want to assure everyone that our meetings will still be held on the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. We hope to maintain our strong relationship and continue collaborating in the future. Your support has been invaluable, and we will always hold St. John’s Lutheran Church, and the Barnabas Brother close to our hearts.

Thank you once again for everything you have done for us.

Warm regards,

Ed Mann, President
