God has many attributes including love

To the Editor:

There is much proclaimed about GOD’s love in churches today but not much about any of GOD’s other attributes.

In 1 John 4:8, I find “GOD is love, This being so, means that GOD zealously loves all that is good. Because he is Holy (1Pet. 1:16) His intense love for righteousness manifests itself in an equally intense hatred of all that is evil. His love does not negate his wrath, it confirms and guarantees it. Being that GOD is also a righteous GOD he must judge wickedness and condemn it (Jer. 10:10-15). “The LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries and he reserves his wrath for his enemies” (Nahum 1:2).

GOD also shows mercy to whom he will (Rom.9:15). Those to whom mercy is shown throughout history and now and in the future are those he chose in Christ before he created anything (1 Thes.2:13; Eph. 1:4; 1 Peter 1:20).

Support Tracy Powell in reelection campaign

To the Editor:

My name is Shaw Bonson and during my tenure as a young Marine, I received steadfast support from Tracy Powell.

The district magistrate proactively reached out to my mother to inquire about my well-being and my anticipated return home.

Upon the completion of my four years of service, Tracy recognized my passion for community protection and my uncertainty regarding whether to pursue a career in law enforcement or healthcare.

She graciously invited me to her office and court in the courthouse annex to spend the day shadowing her as well as law enforcement professionals.

This experience was invaluable and exemplified her dedication and commitment as the Magisterial District Judge, reflecting her genuine care for the community and its members.

For these reasons and as a United States Marine Corps veteran, I wholeheartedly endorse and support Tracy Powell in her reelection campaign for Magisterial District Judge.
