Thank you to community for 'Night at the Races'
To the Editor:
Thank you to everyone who helped make Night at the Races a SUCCESS!
The 2024 United Way of Mifflin-Juniata Night at the Races on Jan. 27 was held at the Moose Family Center in Lewistown. This was the first Night at the Races event for the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata and it was a great success. We want to thank our race caller Jason Christopher who created a hilarious night of fun as he moved through each of the 11 races. We also thank the Moose Center for their assistance in making the evening a success.
This event was a fantastic example of the supporting and giving nature of our communities. The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata knows that without the caring power of our community we are not able to empower our 15 partners and two initiatives to do the work they do.
We thank our volunteers who helped make the night flow effortlessly: Emile Boulanger, Abby Fleming, Clay Glenny, Kristen and Jared Graybill, Karen Haas, Aleks Hartzler, Alicia Hartzler, Nathan Hartzler, Daryl Hartzler, Bryan Henry, Tyler Hess, Candy and Terry Hoffman, Ana Lopez, Alex Lopez, Jeff Moore, Corrinne Pierce, Rob Postal, Sue Reinke, Brett Rogers, Suzanne White, Chris Woods and Scott Yetter and Julie Ufema of Bittersweet Studios for capturing the event with some wonderful photography.
