Thanks to volunteers ready for emergencies
To the Editor:
I was driving home from work at midnight on 305 toward Belleville.
There was a huge pine tree right across the road.
I called 911 to report the issue. Within a very short time, a number of volunteers from McAlevys Fort fire were there cleaning up with chainsaws, man/woman power just buzzing on scene.
As I watched them working hard, I thought that I never really think about these emergencies that these folks are so ready to come out and help.
Saturday night into Sunday was so cold and windy.
So to our volunteers I thank you.
