MCFB to host Measure the Candidates Night

The Mifflin County Farm Bureau is hosting our 2023 General Election Measure the Candidates Night on Tuesday Oct. 24, 2023, at the Mifflin County High School at 7 p.m. We have invited 19 candidates to attend. We already know that one has a prior out of state commitment and will not attend.
Many of the candidates have not yet responded. With the exception of the Mifflin County School Board candidates, all of the candidates seeking countywide office are assured of being elected in November. Therefore, most of the candidates will be addressing the audience for a limited amount of time.
The Mifflin County School Board candidates will be answering questions submitted by the audience. The school board candidates are responsible for the education of the children in the public schools; they are also the body responsible for levying the highest amount of local property taxes. This is an unpaid position and these candidates deserve recognition for being willing to serve in this capacity. Please plan to attend.
