People kill God's gifts
To the Editor:
Today I woke up to see the glorification of the worst of humanity. In Mississippi some dumb humans are so proud of themselves for "harvesting" the largest alligator ever found. People are praising the killing of a majestic gift from God, again!
Who are you people? I will never understand how a human, with our remarkably short lifespans, can think it is their right to kill things that have lived longer than them. Whales, 2,000-year-old trees, entire species of birds and fish, kill them to extinction.
The hubris, indignation, and gall of some of my fellow humans will never cease to amaze me. Those who think that God put fossil fuels into the ground for us to use, ignore the fact that he put them in the ground so that we could have a habitable planet. I will never understand the mindset of people that take joy in the death of God's gifts to us.
If it doesn't break your heart watching so many have so little regard for the blessings around us, then... I don't know what to say.

Think back to recent studies
To the Editor:
It did my heart good to read the article in the 8/21 Sentinel by John Stossel. Think back, people. How many times in the past couple of years have I had letters in this paper concerning climate change and related subjects where I stated that man caused climate change was a hoax?
I made reference to scientific books that say as much. I remember a study done about 20 years ago where a scientist was checking temperature variations between Earth and Mars, and they say the average variations were exactly the same. Now we know that there is no one on Mars burning fossil fuel on Mars.
In fact, the only thing that the two planets have in common that would cause that to happen is solar activity, and the sun does produce more or sometimes less heat than at other times. It has always been that way. As I have always said in the past, "God is in control of the climate." "Man will never be."
On another subject as I am still waiting to see a letter that I mailed to the Sentinel nearly three weeks ago to be published. I was pleased to see the article by Laura Hollis. She spoke of some of the same things that I covered in my letter. I agree with everything she said in her article. It was all very true in every way.
