The third annual Lewistown Country Club Ball Drop was a huge success! A total of 974 Ball Drop tickets were sold for the July 21st event.
Congratulations to the following winners:
Closest to the Hole – The ball was against the pin – Jeff Moist – $1,000
2nd Closest to the Hole @ 2 ½" -- Forest Fisher – $500
3rd Closest to the Hole @ 3" -- Steve Durst – $250
Farthest from the Hole @ 28' 5" -- Kim Neral – $500
2nd Farthest from the Hole @ 27' 5" -- Sherry Williams – $250
3rd Farthest from the Hole @ 25' -- Bob Woodward – $100
The event raised over $10,000 from ball drop ticket sales, raffle ticket sales and 50/50 ticket sales. Over 250 people attended. The evening festivities included: DJ Ritty (Jim Rittenhouse), Petrified Wood Band (Paul Kline, Jim Thomas, and Larry Cottrill); 12 raffle items donated by Lowe's, Creekside Hearth & Patio, Yoder's Tees and More, Forest Fisher, 7 Mountains Winery, Big Valley Beverage, Hungry Run Distillery, Hungry Run Winery and Lewistown Country Club; a 50/50 drawing; and of course, the 3rd annual ball drop which was sponsored by Morgan Stanley-The Dalton Group at Morgan Stanley, Big Valley Wood Products, King Funeral Home-Reedsville, King Barr Funeral Home-Lewistown and Friends of LCC.
The LCC Membership Committee would like to thank all those members who sold tickets, purchased tickets and attended the event. Your support and the community support is greatly appreciated. We are also very appreciative of the Junction Fire Company for bringing their ladder truck to assist us in dropping the net containing all 974 numbered balls and helping to gather them up afterwards. We also want to thank The Sentinel for its pre and post event coverage.
