Thank You for
Fundraising Support
To the Editor:
As many of you recall, in June of 2022, the Baumgardner family had multiple hardships to face. Carrie Baumgardner, mother of five children, was diagnosed with cancer. On June 7th, she underwent surgery to remove multiple organs. On June 24th, Carrie was released from the hospital and the following day, the Baumgardner's home was destroyed by fire.
In response to this family in need, a group of friends got together and formed Building Up the Baumgardner's, a group determined to help this family rebuild their home. With the help of Habitat for Humanity and friends and neighbors from this county and beyond, the Baumgardner's were able to rebuild. As the result of many donations from individuals, churches, and other civic organizations as well as fundraisers, the Baumgardner home is now complete, and they have been able to move into their new home.
The response from this community was nothing short of miraculous. On behalf of the family and the Building Up the Gardner's fundraising group, thank you to all of you for your love and support through this very difficult time. It is amazing how this community always steps up to help neighbors in need. May God richly bless all of you for your kindness and support.
Sincerely,
Mark A. Crosson
